Campus Interview

Sell yourself!

  • Arrive on time. Be 15 minutes early.
  • Dress the part. Your clothing and appearance make their own statement about who you are.
  • Be polite to the receptionist and any office staff.
  • When you enter, introduce yourself, and greet the coach with a firm handshake and a smile.
  • Maintain eye contact and body language that says, “I'm interested and alert.”
  • Don't eat, drink or chew gum during the interview – even if you're offered something to eat or drink.
  • Speak succinctly, and use proper English.
  • Relax!
  • Stay grounded. You're visiting the school to be part of a team – not a standout.
  • Stand tall and be positive. Be confident, not cocky.
  • Always be honest.
  • Above all else, just be yourself.
  • Send a thank-you note. You can be sure that not all the prospects will take the time to say thanks.
