Campus Interview
|
Sell yourself!
- Arrive on time. Be 15 minutes early.
- Dress the part. Your clothing and appearance make their own statement about who you are.
- Be polite to the receptionist and any office staff.
- When you enter, introduce yourself, and greet the coach with a firm handshake and a smile.
- Maintain eye contact and body language that says, “I'm interested and alert.”
- Don't eat, drink or chew gum during the interview – even if you're offered something to eat or drink.
- Speak succinctly, and use proper English.
- Relax!
- Stay grounded. You're visiting the school to be part of a team – not a standout.
- Stand tall and be positive. Be confident, not cocky.
- Always be honest.
- Above all else, just be yourself.
- Send a thank-you note. You can be sure that not all the prospects will take the time to say thanks.
